COVID-19

The health and safety of our family, friends, neighbors, colleagues & clients is of paramount importance.  All of us at Nexus hope and pray for a speedy end to the global pandemic.

Our hearts go out to the victims of this tragedy who have been affected both directly and indirectly.

We especially salute the doctors, nurses and first responders who are working selflessly to help their fellow humans.  Thank you for all you do.

Update: On March 28, 2020, the US Department of Homeland Security updated its list of essential services...

...during the COVID-19 crisis and expressly included residential real estate as an essential service.  Since CA Governor Newsom's March 4, 2020 order incorporates this list, the order now includes residential real estate, including settlement services, as essential services in CA.

Start Virtual

Minimizing person-to-person contact is in everyone's best interest.  FREE services such as Whatsapp, Zoom and Facebook make showing your home, even hosting a virtual open house, easy.  Zoom even allows you to record your virtual home tour, which may then be added to your Matterport, drone, and photographic assets.  When creating your video tour, please be sure to follow all the guidelines in Chapter 1, as if you were giving an in-person tour.

Preparations

Protecting yourself and your loved-ones, especially during this time, is of the utmost importance.   By following the CDC guidelines, everyone can be safer.  Guests in your home should leave their shoes outside or wear disposable booties.  Provide disinfection solutions, gloves, and be sure to sanitize surfaces such as doorknobs, countertops, or anything else guests may come in contact with both before and after their arrival.  Protective masks are recommended for all parties.

Social Distancing

The published standard of maintaining at least six feet distance between people should be followed and, ideally, only one guest at a time should enter your home.  Of course, anyone who is known to be unhealthy should not enter your home.  While the US Department of Homeland Security and the State of California now consider real estate an essential service, please familiarize yourself with federal, state, and local requirements.
